This event offers free admission with an unwrapped toy that will be donated to a local Dade City charity. The event starts at 10:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to come out and visit the museum's charming history, do some holiday shopping with our vendors, listen to some Christmas music and hear the Solid Gold Barbershop Quartet. Bring the kiddos out to see Mr. Tommy Presents. He will have two performances at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm. Santa & Mrs. Claus will be here from 1-3 pm and we will offer complimentary photos by photographer Christina Strong. The barrel train will be ready for some fun train rides and we will also have a train show in the Mable Jordan Barn. We will serve cookies and punch and as always, the concession stand will be open with hamburgers and hot dogs. Pioneer Florida Museum & Village is filled with exhibits and artifacts from the pioneer era that are sure to spark the interest of all guests. The museum’s historic buildings include the Lacoochee one-room school house, the Overstreet 1860’s farm house, the 1950’s CC Smith General store and the 1910 Blanton Packing House. The main building is filled with examples of pioneer life and beyond with a quilt room, back porch and the renowned First Ladies of Florida Doll Collection, sponsored by the Tampa Doll Club. The Pioneer Florida Museum is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Florida’s pioneer heritage. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. The museum is located one mile north of downtown Dade City, off of US 301 at 15602 Pioneer Museum Road.
