Nearly a thousand protesters gathered Saturday afternoon at Dale Mabry and Columbus to show their opposition to Venezuela violence.
“What we are trying to do is gather support. We are supporting the students and now we need support from the international community,” said Nathalia Assaad.

College students in the country have been protesting for liberty and democracy in the latin American country and have been met with military and police. Eight have died in the unrest and hundreds of others injured or jailed. “Venezuela needs the support of the international communities especially the Latin American countries and America that are being paid with petroleum money coming from Venezuela,” said Assaad.
