United Way Office Dedication West Pasco, Photos by Citizen Journalist J. David Wright

Photos by Citizen Journalist J. David Wright. United Way held a gala Dedication Ceremony for their new office location in West Pasco. Many Pasco County dignitaries were in attendance to show support for charity organization that is basically run by volunteers, people just like you, committed to advancing the common good in Pasco County. It is the volunteers, residents from all walks of life that make the decisions on what non-profit organizations and programs will receive the funds raised by the United Way. What does advancing the common good in Pasco County mean? It means partnering with 24 worthy non-profit agencies in our community who are doing the important work of helping kids succeed, finding ways to help our residents become financially stable and working hard to ensure that our youth right on up to our elderly have access to quality healthcare and any other service they require to build a good life. We in Pasco County never know when a natural disaster will impact our life and our community. United Way and our partners in crisis response are prepared, will respond and assist in recovery. United Way of Pasco County brings together people from all across the community – people from government, business, faith groups, non-profits, labor and ordinary citizens – to tackle the issues that matter most in our community. If it requires fundraising, going to City Hall, or just getting people to work together, that’s what we do. The work of United Way benefits everyone directly or indirectly because as you raise the individual, it ripples out into the community. We are all connected. Our donors, our partner agencies, the businesses that support the United Way’s mission are all catalyst for a good life for all. That is the United Way of Pasco County.
