Pasco County Opens a New Fire Rescue Station with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Pasco County Fire Rescue is pleased to announce the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Fire Rescue Station No. 30 located at 7951 Massachusetts Avenue, New Port Richey. Dedication ceremonies for the new 8,110 square foot facility were held on July 22. The ceremony included members of the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners, County Administrator, Fire Chief and other dignitaries. An open house for viewing the new fire station followed the dedication. “This new state-of-the-art facility will serve the citizens in this area for many years to come,” said Pasco Fire Chief, Scott Cassin. “The station not only meets the needs of today, but was built with future growth in mind.” Fire Station No. 30 will improve and enhance service to the area for both medical and fire suppression emergencies. It replaces the Magnolia Valley Fire Station which is located across the street. Fire Station No. 30 will improve and enhance service to the area for both medical and fire suppression emergencies. Fire Station No. 30 will house a minimum of five (5) personnel assigned per day, along with one fire engine and one paramedic ambulance. There will also be one 2,000 gallon tanker and one brush truck on order to compliment the responding vehicles from Station No. 30. The station has three drive-through bays capable of housing a total of six (6) pieces of apparatus. Station No. 30 was built by Trias Construction with Fleishman Garcia Architects. The cost to build the new building was $2.1 million. Crews will start operating out of the station once a certificate of occupancy is issued which is expected on or around July 22.
