Oasis Pregnancy Care Centers holds it's 6th Annual Legacy of Life Celebration

Oasis Pregnancy Care Centers held it's 6th Annual Legacy of Life Celebration on September 25th at Exciting Idlewild. This is by far the biggest event in Central Pasco with well over 400 people in attendance. The evening was kicked off with an Invocation by Pastor Gilbert Rodriguez followed by a welcome and overview from Speaker of the Florida House, Will Weatherford, the Honorary Chair. The wonderful buffet dinner was then provided by Hungry Harry's Family BBQ.

The program was kicked off by Sandra Porter (chairman) and Tim Couet (Vice Chair) of the Oasis Board of Directors. They welcomed all the VIP's, Pastors, Staff, Board Members and Volunteers that make Oasis a wonderful ministry to the community. A special aware was given to Nancy Davis (former Client Services Director) for excellent service to Oasis and our community.

Peter Castellani, Founder and Executive Director, presented the accomplishments over the past year and goals for the future (attached). Castellani stated that they have helped over 200 families this year and over 750 families free of charge since they opened in the fall of 2009.

Oasis is one of the most well recognized non-profit agencies in the community receiving Non-Profit of the Year from both the Central Pasco and Pasco Hernando Hispanic Chambers of Commerce as well as the Civic Organization of the Year from the Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce. Oasis provides most services and referrals required by expectant families. Go to OasisPregnancyCenter.org for a list of services.

The guest speaker was Mike G. Williams who is a well known speaker and comedian who had the audience laughing hysterically for 30 minutes. The evening concluded with an appeal to raise funds for Oasis and was closed in prayer by Barb Yoder, GM of Salem Communications.
