Wesley Chapel Athletic Association AAA Division, Hooks Baseball by Arlene Hein

Sunday, Oct 26, 2014 | On Target Page: Wesley Chapel, New Tampa, Land O'Lakes

As the weather starts to cool down and our country focuses on another baseball World Series, kids around the nation play the game known as our “National Pastime.” In Wesley Chapel, Florida it is no different. Players, coaches and parents gather several times a week for games and practices at the Wesley Chapel District Park located off of Boyette Road. The Little League fall season started Labor Day weekend and continues through early November. The AAA Division Hooks are one of the teams that make up several different divisions of baseball. The Hooks have 9 and 10 year old players eager to play and learn the game of baseball. They practice drills and new positions on the field to understand how the game is played. Most of all, they learn good sportsmanship and create new relationships with other kids their age.

The fall baseball season is about developing skills and preparing for the more competitive spring season. For more information about spring registration, or about the Wesley Chapel Athletic Association please visit www.wcaasports.org.
