The Central Pasco Chamber General Membership Meeting, in Lutz

The Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce held their June, General Membership Meeting on June 9, 2015 at Harbor Terrace Restaurant at Heritage Harbor; 19502 Heritage Harbor Parkway, Lutz, FL 33558. Networking was at 11:30am, and the meeting was from 12:00 to 1:30pm The Guest Speaker was Cynthia Armstrong, of the Pasco County School Board District 3. She discussed the latest news on the all New Sanders Memorial Elementary School.

As construction work on Sanders Memorial Elementary School nears completion, administrators at what will be Pasco County’s first magnet school are enthusiastic about its future. Originally built in 1948, the school closed in 2010 and its students moved to Connerton Elementary. The school is scheduled to reopen in August, and administrators and staff are expected to begin moving in July 6, Principal Jason Petry said. Sanders will operate under the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) educational model.
