Construction has Resumed on the Florida Hospital Center Ice complex

Work resumes on $20M ice complex

There is some exciting News coming from Gordie Zimmermann of the Florida Hospital Center Ice complex; the Construction has commenced!

The Ice complex secured the building permit for the foundation work after having to endure several months delay, because of the sophisticated engineering work required for the foundation and structural components in order to accommodate the mechanical piping needed to keep the $20 million center, on Ice. Construction is expected to take about eight months.

The project, owned and developed by ZMitch LLC, will contain four ice pads, making it the largest ice-skating complex in the southeastern United States. Other amenities will include a multipurpose sports floor for other activities, including basketball and lacrosse. Florida Hospital purchased the naming rights for the center under a 10-year partnership to provide classes, performance training and other services.

"These are exciting times for Pasco County, and I'm ecstatic that Florida Hospital Center Ice has chosen Wesley Chapel as its home. I'm confident that Gordie (Zimmermann) and the ZMitch development team will do a fantastic job expanding youth hockey in our county, in addition to hosting players and teams from around the globe," Pasco Commissioner Mike Moore said.
