Barry Horvath, a Democrat, held a Meet & Greet for his Campaign, on September 20, 2016. Barry Horvath is running for Pasco County Commissioner District 3.

About Barry Horvath:

Barry has been a resident of Pasco County since 1973 and has raised two sons here. He owns successful businesses in Pasco including a financial advisor practice, Dynamic Title and is a Branch Manager for Norcom Mortgage.

Barry Graduated from Hudson High School and Majored in Business & Marketing at Pasco Hernando Community College.

He is member of the Trinity Odessa Chamber of Commerce and West Pasco Chamber of Commerce and is the Founder of the West Pasco Business Association.

His many community involvements include; Salvation Army, Little League, Chairman of the River Lights Boat Parade, Chairman of How the Grinch Saved Christmas event, Police Athletic League, American Cancer Society-Relay for Life, Vice President, River Ridge Homeowners Assoc., Vice President, Emerald Beach Condo Association, President NPI, Staff Parish on local church council and he plays guitar in a Praise Band in two local churches.

Barry has Founded many local charity events including How the Grinch Saved Christmas, Bowling for Boobs & participated in Dancing with the Local Stars & team captain for Relay for Life.

About the job: Commissioners are elected countywide, but must reside within their district. District 3 stretches along Pasco's southern tier from Gulf Harbors west of U.S. 19 to Bruce B. Downs Boulevard in Wesley Chapel. Commissioners set policy and adopt ordinances to be implemented by the staff and oversee an annual budget of more than $1.5 billion. The annual salary is $84,794.
