Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point Announces the Appointment of Joe Rudisill as Its New Chief Operating Officer

Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point CEO Shayne George has announced the appointment of Joe Rudisill as the hospital’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. Rudisill, a native of Hickory, North Carolina, comes to RMCBP from Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, where he served in HCA’s Chief Operating Officer Development Program.

Mr. Rudisill joined Henrico Doctors’ team in January 2014 as Associate Administrator overseeing the emergency department, two freestanding emergency departments, ancillary services, and the hospital’s kidney transplant program. Throughout his three years at Henrico Doctors’, he also had responsibility for Radiology, Laboratory, Engineering, Environmental Services, Food & Nutrition Services, PBX, Patient Transport, Biomed, and Volunteer Services. He has a reputation for providing leadership for key departments and was instrumental in leading the development and operations of several service lines that led to successful growth and improved patient experiences and outcomes.

Prior to joining HCA, Mr. Rudisill was the Director of Operations at Virginia Urology, a 42-physician multispecialty practice that had eight offices and two surgery centers across central and southern Virginia. Mr. Rudisill received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Rudisill and his wife, Liz, have a six month old boy, Anderson.
