MidFlorida Grand Opening in Lutz and Land O'Lakes

Friday, Aug 12, 2011 | On Target Page: Land O'Lakes, Lutz, Land O'Lakes Community Events, Lutz Community Events

MIDFLORIDA Credit Union announced the completion of five new branches in the Tampa market with a grand opening celebration at each of the full-service locations with free food, a chance to win one of five Apple iPad2 giveaways, plus special checking offers and a below-market car loan rate. Those branches are located at 2255 Collier Parkway in Land O’ Lakes, 19203 N. Dale Mabry Hwy in Lutz, 10950 Cross Creek Blvd and 20401 Bruce B. Downs Blvd in New Tampa and 3202 W. Waters Ave. in Tampa.

“We're happy to begin this phase of growth in a new market. By holding our grand opening event simultaneously at several locations, we hope to show our commitment to the greater Tampa area and introduce ourselves as a financial institution with quality products and services, including convenient hours like 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. drive-thru service and full-service Saturday hours,” said Kevin Jones, MIDFLORIDA’s President and CEO. “We feel that we offer a refreshing alternative to the standard banking experience Tampa residents may have become accustomed to.”

MIDFLORIDA began servicing the Tampa market earlier this year through a merger acquisition in late 2010, making them the third largest credit union in the greater Tampa area and the fifth largest in the state of Florida. Since that time they have remodeled two of their acquired branches and purchased and renovated two more, bringing their total branch count to 32 locations.

MIDFLORIDA is a state-chartered financial institution with over $1.6 billion in assets, over $1.3 billion in deposits and more than 150,000 members. Anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school within 12 Central Florida counties may choose to bank with MIDFLORIDA. Visit www.midflorida.com for details.
