What Does Pure Water for the World Do?
We partner with rural and underserved communities, where there are high incidences of waterborne diseases and a scarcity of aid. Together, we establish comprehensive safe water solutions that include the essential tools and education to serve all community members. We provide Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) education and capacity building programs, training other organizations to accelerate access to safe water and sanitation for all. We monitor every project and program delivered, to ensure effectiveness and sustainability.
The Porter family has been committed to Pasco County for over 60 years. The Wiregrass Ranch Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation created by members of the Porter family. The Wiregrass Ranch Foundation is dedicated to increasing opportunities in our community through philanthropy, stewardship and innovation.
The Foundation hosts an annual clay shoot fundraiser that has provided the ability to support many local organizations and charities. In 2012, the Foundation presented a check for $18,750 to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Tampa Bay to help fund their programs. In 2013, the Foundation donated $20,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Lacoochee and partnered with onBikes, a local charity that provides bikes to underprivileged children, to deliver 50 bikes to their kids. Funds raised from the 3rd Annual Wiregrass Ranch Classic Clay Shoot in 2015 enabled the Foundation to provide a total of fifteen scholarships to students at Wesley Chapel High School, Pasco High School, and Wiregrass Ranch High School. In addition to the scholarships, the Foundation also made the following contributions in 2015:
- Pasco County 4-H
- American Cancer Society
- Metropolitan Ministries Miracles for Pasco Facility
- Adopted two local struggling families for Christmas, providing groceries and gifts
- Partnered with the new Miracles for Pasco facility to provide Christmas gifts to a family in residence

About the Rotary Club:
How do we work?
Our impact starts with our members—people who work tirelessly with their clubs to solve some of our communities' toughest challenges. Their efforts are supported by Rotary International, our member association, and The Rotary Foundation, which turns generous donations into grants that fund the work of our members and partners around the world. Rotary is led by our members—responsible leaders who help to carry forward our organization's mission and values in their elected roles.
How do we use our funds?
Responsible leadership means more than just doing good work—it means making the most out of every donation we receive.
What causes do we support?
We have identified specific causes to target to maximize our local and global impact. At the same time, we understand that each community has its own unique needs and concerns. Through our network of resources and partners, we help clubs focus their service efforts in promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, and growing local economies.
