Update Tuesday Sept 12, 4:45pm: Pasco County Residents Seeking Shelter Must Meet Criteria to be Accepted

Pasco County Government is working to return those housed in a shelter to their homes as it becomes safe to do so. For those residents seeking shelter, please first attempt to find shelter with relatives or friends. If that is not an option, citizens can self-evacuate to the Mike Fasano Regional Hurricane Shelter, 11611 Denton Ave., Hudson.

Those seeking shelter must meet one of the following criteria:

Residents who are under the current voluntary evacuation for the Elfers area surrounding the Anclote River area

Medically electric dependent residents without power (i.e., oxygen dependent)

Please be aware that power outages alone are not criteria for utilizing one of our shelters.

Electric companies are working hard to restore power to affected areas, and your patience is appreciated.

For questions regarding sheltering, call Pasco County Customer Service at 727.847.2411.
