Wiregrass Ranch HS vs Wesley Chapel

It wasn't one of the prettiest wins for Wesley Chapel, but it was good enough to keep the Wildcats undefeated. Wesley Chapel scored four runs in the fourth inning and four more in the sixth to set up Geoff DeGroot's walk-off single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Wiregrass Ranch 9-8 and claim the first RBI Pasco County Varsity Baseball Tournament championship Friday night at Wiregrass Ranch. Boys Basketball Nature Coast vs
Wiregrass Ranch HS
The Nature Coast boys basketball team had been waiting for a rematch with Wiregrass Ranch since the Bulls won the Class 4A-District 8 championship two weeks ago on the Sharks home court.

Nature Coast (29-3) avenged that loss Feb. 22 at Wiregrass Ranch (22-8) to take the 4A regional semifinals contest 70-56.

Wiregrass at Wesley Chapel
Basketball Boys
The Wiregrass Ranch boys basketball team won the first regional tournament game in program history by defeating Wesley Chapel 94-75 at home Feb. 17.

The Bulls (22-7) took a 52-26 lead into halftime of the Class 4A regional quarterfinals, but had to ward off a 30-point quarter by the Wildcats (13-16) in the third that closed the score to 72-56.

The Sunlake High football team was able to run up and down the field en route to a 43-6 road win against Wiregrass Ranch High. The Seahawks (1-0) scored on the opening drive of the year and never let Wiregrass Ranch (0-1) get closer than two points. “We got up early and were able to control the clock by running,” said Sunlake coach Bill Browning. “The defense shut them down after they scored on their first drive and really everyone did just what they needed to do for us to win.” Read more Here

Dr Zack's Mouth Guards at
Wiregrass Ranch High School
Dr. Zach Kalarickal of Wesley Chapel Dentistry and his staff are giving football players from Wesley Chapel, custom mouth guards for the second year. these custom made mouth guards help guard the brain as well as the mouth and hold up better than regular ones over the course of the season and normally cost $350. Here Dr. Zach is thanked by the Wiregrass Ranch High School football team and will do the same for the Wesley Chapel football team very soon.

Wiregrass High volunteering in South Africa

Just a few photos of our trip. Very proud of my daughter Jessica, 15, & her friend Lauren, 16, of Wiregrass High in Wesley Chapel choosing to spend their summer vacation volunteering in South Africa (45% AIDS tin-shack community).

Picture 107 is the girls with Lily & her grandson Ngobile, who has AIDS, (his mom died of AIDS) that we helped by buying material to help rebuild her house and buy her some food and clothes, which was stolen when she was robbed two days before we got there. They prey on the old. I have been helping her for 2 years since my first trip.

237 is girls with Leto. He has AIDS and his 6 sons died in war and his wife left him when he got sick. Jessica was amazed how happy he was for the life he lives.

239 is Letos home

365 is the girls with a family of 11 in a small home. I have had a relationship with them for 2 years.

214 is girls with some of the kids on the street.

Gulf HS wins the Class 1A District 6 Wrestling Tournament with 5 First-Place Titles, 4 Second-Place Titles, 4 Third-Place Titles, and 218 points. Sunlake was Runner-Up with 3 First-Place Titles,4 Second-Place Titles, and 122 points. Other schools competing were Wiregrass Ranch (3rd), Bishop Moore, Pasco, Lake Highland Prep, Zephyrhills, and Hudson.

Wrestlers Start Quest For Gold

WESLEY CHAPEL - Crunch time has officially arrived.

Wrestlers from across Pasco County and the state begin their quest for championship gold in Lakeland with the start of the FHSAA Wrestling Championships. The district tournament is up first.
Sunlake will host the Class 1A-District 6 tournament, which includes Gulf, Hudson, Pasco, Wiregrass Ranch and Zephyrhills. That tournament will feature seven wrestlers who are ranked in the state. Sunlake's Jarrett Baker (No. 3) has the highest ranking of anyone, according to Scout.com's wrestling rankings.... To read more, Click >>> Here.
