The Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce held a Special Ribbon Cutting and Grand Re-Opening for The Groves Golf & Country Club in Land O’Lakes. Highlighting the event was a ‘closest to the Pin’ competition where everyone had three opportunities but there was no need to measure when Montess Burt of Spectrum Reach drained the long putt to win. Richard Moore, Pro Shop Manager at the Groves Golf & Country Club, 7924 Melogold Circle, Land O' Lakes, Florida 34637 located just minutes north of Tampa in Land O’ Lakes, is very proud of all the improvements of the superbly manicured golf course designed by Gary Koch which is surrounded by 200 acres of conservation wetlands was designed with nature’s best interests in mind. “This is not the typical short course that has flat unimaginable holes that run parallel to each other. The design is one that has all the characteristics of a championship length golf course only in reduced form. Holes range from 105 to 375 yards in length. Greens are good sized and well bunkered, not to mention, true rolling fairways that can be winding, flanked by trees and water and be a real challenge to navigate.”
When you are not playing you can practice on their aqua range and full size putting green. The Groves Grill Restaurant is operated by Five Diamond Chef Mark Vesh and offers daily specials, refreshing cocktails and a relaxing atmosphere with a view of the 9th green.
