The Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce held its General Membership Meeting at the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Suncoast Parkway. Featured speaker this month was Adam Thomas, Director of Visit Pasco of the Office of Tourism Development for Pasco County and its official destination marketing organization. The Luncheon meeting was Sponsored by Metz Orthodontics. Thomas became an experienced traveler during his eleven-year career in professional Baseball bouncing around from Las Vegas to Long Beach to Dominican Republic to Venezuela to Mexico to Anaheim (not necessarily in that order) before finishing his final two seasons as a Dodger in Los Angeles. Thomas spent the last four years working for the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners trying to develop Sports Tourism and then as Director of Tourism before coming to Pasco County in September 2017. When Adam arrived, he brought Hurricane Irma with him, so things have only got better and he is looking forward to working with the Chambers and Businesses to promote the County as an tourism destination to areas/or agencies outside the County to increase tourism and development.
