MOD Pizza Grand Opening, in Lutz

MOD Pizza in Lutz held its Grand Opening on October 9th and the crowd was lined around the back of the building. Aside from the delicious artisan-style pizza, the drawing for free pizza for a year, and free pizza for the first 52 customers, people of all ages came to Meet and Eat with Mike Evans from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Evans and his wife, Ashli, launched the Mike Evans Family Foundation in December of 2017 to award a college scholarship to graduating high school students from low-income families in need of financial assistance. The foundation also supports women and families battling domestic violence. 100% of the pizza sales from that day were donated to Mike Evans Family Foundation. MOD Pizza, a pioneer of the fast casual pizza segment, was founded in Seattle in 2008 by entrepreneurs Scott and Ally Svenson. MOD's individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, allowing customers to create their own pizzas and salads, using fresh-pressed dough, signature sauces and over 30 toppings, for one price.
