Women-N-Charge Tea and Fashion Show at the Groves in Land O'Lakes. Women-N-Charge originated in 2005 with a small group of women and rapidly grew to over 80 women almost overnight! There was a void in networking world at that time amongst just women and this group filled that void. Six years later the group is hosting its 3rd major fundraiser, a Tea and Fashion Show. The annual event by this non-profit group benefits local business women by providing scholarships. In 2010 two $1,000 scholarships were given to deserving women; who must go thru the application process and be chosen by a panel of judges. This year’s fashion show was held October 8th, 2011 at The Groves Golf and Country Club between 2-4 pm. A room was filled with over 100 ladies sharing a lovely afternoon with a room full of our friends and family, sipping tea, eating crumpets and viewing a fashion show presented by Belk's. This year’s fashion show showcased real women in business, sport, every day, and evening attire. Clerk & Comptroller of Pasco County Paula O'Neil, Commissioner Pat Mullieri, and attorney Patricia Carroll judged the hat competition; awards were given for loveliest, most creative, and funniest hats. Catering was done thru Dee’s Delights while Jeff Holmes of AJH Deejays provided the fashion show and back ground music. This successful event will provide two new scholarships for the current year!
