Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at The Shops at Wiregrass, in Wesley Chapel
PDF VersionEveryone came together with survivors, caregivers, men and women from all walks of life who are passionate about saving lives from breast cancer to share efforts, inspire each other to carry on, and took comfort in the knowledge that because of their dedication, no one walked alone.
The emcees, Ann Kelly from 105.5 WDUV and Walter Allen from Fox 13, kicked off another great event from the main stage at 8:30am. They also had special guest speakers, along with our fabulous DJ Yahoo, providing great music for all to walk and dance to.
The 2-mile walk began at 9:00am, under the arch, and proceeded around the backside of The Shops at Wiregrass, around a section of AdventHealth Wesley Chapel and then back towards center court at The Shops at Wiregrass.
Survivors and a guest were able to enjoy a complimentary breakfast, beginning at 7:30am on walk day, at Cantina Laredo, located in the roundabout at The Shops at Wiregrass. Survivors were able to pick up their complimentary shirt on site, as well as a bag of goodies, provided by businesses within The Shops at Wiregrass and the community.
