Saturday, Jul 25, 2020 | On Target Page: Land O'Lakes, Law and Order
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office recently welcomed two new K9s, both of which will be assigned to the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center. Both K9s graduated from the Pasco Sheriff’s Office K9 Narcotics School, and are certified to detect illegal substances, such as heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana. Additionally, the funding for both K9s was donated by the Lake Jovita Women’s Club in Dade City.

K9 JoJo, a two-year-old male yellow Labrador Retriever from Colombia, is the partner of Dep. Ryan Kiely. Dep. Kiely has been with PSO’s Court Services Bureau since 2015, where he’s worked in the Housing Unit. Additionally, Dep. Kiely is a member of the Inner Perimeter Security Team and is a Field Training Officer.

K9 Hunter is an 18 month old yellow Labrador Retriever, who is also from Colombia. He is the partner of Dep. Garrett Erickson, who has worked in PSO’s Court Services Bureau Housing Unit for three years. Dep. Erickson is a member of the Inner Perimeter Security Team. He is also a Field Training Officer and a member of PSO’s SWAT team.

PSO is immensely thankful for the generosity of the Lake Jovita Women’s Club.
