Libertad Club Hispano Republicano de Pasco address Communism vs Postmodernism at Havana Dreamers Café with guest speaker Alexandria Suarez

Libertad Club Hispano Republicano de Pasco welcomed Alexandria Suarez who gave an outstanding presentation on socialism, communism vs post-modernism. We had a great crowd and some terrific testimonies on Cuba and their own family's experiences from our very own Club treasurer and Pasco REC Vice-Chair Rudy Gonzalez, and from one of our School Board Member, Megan Harding , also of Cuban descend.

Alexandria Suarez has lived and worked in Miami and the Homestead, Florida area for most of her life. Alexandria graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and served as a public, middle school teacher for nearly a decade. Alexandria then joined the healthcare industry before earning her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2016. While in law school, Alexandria continued to serve her community through assistance in immigration clinics, the Big Brother/Big Sister program. the Animal Legal Defense Fund, and assisting fellow classmates as an assistant learning instructor.

Following law school, Alexandria opened the Law Office of Alexandria Suarez, P.A. and practices in the areas of civil and business litigation, family law, tort defense, and healthcare law. Alexandria has diverse litigation experience from handling formal hearings before the Florida Department of Administrative Hearings in Tallahassee to litigating a variety of cases in state court. Alexandria has represented individuals and professionals in civil theft cases, medicaid/medicare audits, fraud claims, breach of contract claims, and general commercial disputes.

Each year since 2016, Alexandria has served as a guest speaker on ethical governance for the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics and Public Trust. In 2016, Alexandria received the “Client Choice” Award by Avvo in healthcare law and recently named to the elite group “Lawyers of Distinction” for civil litigation in 2019. Alexandria is admitted to practice in the State of Florida, the U.S. District Court of Colorado, and is a member of the Florida Bar; Dade County Bar Association; Cuban American Bar Association; the Federalist Society; Phi Alpha Delta; South Dade Chamber of Commerce; Florida Farm Bureau; and the Miami, Florida, and National Board of Realtors.
