About Patrick

The citizens of Pasco County deserve a judge who will fight for justice and keep our community safe. Patrick Moore is a candidate for Pasco County Judge who will conduct a court that is fair, firm, and reliable, upholding the Constitution and the law while treating people with respect. His devotion to serving Pasco County and its citizens runs deep. From being a resident of Pasco County and raising his family here to dedicating his entire career to public service for Pasco County, Patrick is committed to this community and supporting its citizens. His background and experience have given him the knowledge, skills and compassion to efficiently manage a court that represents your values and protects our citizens. As your judge, Patrick will apply his life-long values of hard work, public service, and integrity to decide cases fairly and impartially, and operate a court that makes responsible use of taxpayer dollars.

Patrick Moore has been a Floridian since the age of three. Growing up in the small rural town of Bell in Gilchrist County, he learned early in life the value of hard work, honesty, integrity, and treating everyone with respect. These characteristics have stayed with him and laid the foundation for his career of public service. Patrick worked his way through high school doing physical labor in the watermelon fields and tree farms, while also excelling in sports as the varsity quarterback of the football team, and graduating as valedictorian. He continued his record of academic excellence in college at the University of West Florida, earning dual Bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology, and minors in Legal Studies and Forensic Accounting. During his undergraduate education, while also working for the university's fitness and athletic center, Patrick was a member of the mock trial team and interned at the State Attorney's Office. This experience introduced Patrick to the criminal justice system, and further solidified his desire to dedicate his career to serving his community and keeping citizens safe. After graduating with honors from UWF, Patrick continued his legal education at Florida Coastal School of Law and was proud to be the first member of his family to earn a law degree and become a practicing attorney. Patrick is currently a member of the Florida Bar and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Patrick began his career of legal service to Pasco County as an Assistant State Attorney in Pasco for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. His responsibilities included prosecuting cases ranging from misdemeanors to murder, crimes against children, domestic violence, animal abuse, and other serious felony cases. After thousands of hours in the courtroom handling hundreds of trials, hearings, and other court proceedings, Patrick continued his legal service to Pasco County by accepting a position in the Pasco County Attorney's Office and later being promoted to Senior Assistant County Attorney. In this role, Patrick is responsible for litigating complex civil cases, prosecuting county ordinance violations, advising the Board of County Commissioners and county staff on legal issues, and researching and drafting county ordinances. Patrick also provides legal guidance to Pasco County Fire Rescue/Fire Marshal, and serves as a legal advisor to the Pasco County Construction Board and the Pasco County Animal Services Advisory Committee. This position is a unique public sector role, as it affords Patrick the same legal experience as working in a private firm, allowing him to continue to dedicate his career to public service. He has also been a member of, or provided legal assistance to, various local organizations such as the Pasco County Environmental Crimes Task Force and the Pasco County Commission on Human Trafficking.

Patrick is involved in the legal community as a member of the local East and West Pasco County bar associations and the Florida Association of County Attorneys. He also values the importance of education and giving back to his community. He volunteers as a mentor for Take Stock in Children, is a member of the School Advisory Council, and is proud to support our local animal services and shelter. Patrick lives in Pasco County and has dedicated his entire legal career to the citizens of Pasco County. His wife, a practicing attorney for 16 years, is also a local attorney for Pasco County law enforcement, and they have two daughters who attend Pasco County schools. Patrick is also proud to have completed a full Ironman triathlon along with numerous other races, and enjoys outdoor activities with his family.

Please help support Patrick in his effort to keep Pasco safe and change lives for the better.
