Penny for Pasco Renewal Kickoff Event was held Thursday, June 16th at the Edison Suncoast Building in Lutz. The building itself, a speculative effort between the TPA Group and the Pasco EDC, was the perfect location.

The Penny for Pasco Committee, county, school board, and city officials were present to learn about what the penny renewal will do for the county.

The Penny for Pasco will be on the November ballot and could provide much needed funding to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Pasco County, The Penny funding will provide business incentives for qualified industries that create high paying jobs in the County, fund public safety with the purchase of law enforcement, fire and rescue vehicles equipped with laptop computers; construct transportation projects that include intersection improvements, sidewalks and pedestrian safety projects, new bicycle/pedestrian trails, and several public transportation projects.

Another beneficiary of the Penny is E.L.A.M.P. (Environmental Lands Acquisition and Management Program) which has aquired approx 6255 acres of environmentally sensitive lands throughout the County.
