Senator Jim Norman Addresses the Central Pasco Republican Club in Land O’Lakes, FLA
Senator Jim Norman was the guest speaker at the meeting of the Central Pasco Republican Club. The Senator was elected in 2010 and has served as the Vice Chair of Community Affairs and sits on the Budget Subcommittee on Finance and Tax and the Budget Subcommittee on Transportation, Tourism, and Economic Development Appropriations. Prior to being elected, Senator Norman served as a Hillsborough County Commissioner from 1992 to 2010 and was the longest serving Chairman of the County. Redistricting may affect the Senate seats representing Pasco County, but at present Norman represents the Central portion of Pasco and will speak to the club on what that representation has meant to our residents in the past year.
The meeting was held at The Groves Golf and Country Club under the direction of Connie Queller, Club President. Several candidates were recognized and given the opportunity to address the crowd. In attendance were Paula S. O’Neil, PhD running for reelection as Pasco County’s Clerk of Courts; Will Nickerson running for Pasco County Commissioner Dist. 3; Jim Mathieu, Vice-Chairman of the Republican Party of Pasco running for state representative District 46; Walter Price running for Pasco County Appraiser; Rachel O’Connor running for Pasco County Commissioner Dist. 3 and Edward Blommel running for Pasco County Tax Collector.
