United States Representative Gus Bilirakis recently met with Veterans and their families at the SSG Michael Wayne Shafer Memorial VFW Post 10209 in Spring Hill. “It is always an honor to be in the presence of heroes!” said Bilirakis. “I shared with them the progress I've made in Washington and here at home to ensure Veterans have access to the care and benefits they’ve earned” he said. Bilirakis also stated that “if privileged to be re-elected, I look forward to building upon that success.” “It was also wonderful that my father, a Korean War era Air Force Veteran, was able to join me for this special event”. Gus Bilirakis’s father Mike Bilirakis also served in the US House of Representatives from 1983 to 2007.
