The Florida Senior Games Opening Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting was held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 11:00am at Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus, 3021 Sports Coast Way, Wesley Chapel.

The event marked Pasco's first time hosting the games. Florida's Sports Coast worked with the Florida Sports Foundation to attract the games to our community.

Florida's Sports Coast is the 8th Florida community since1992 to host the annual Olympic-style sports festival for athletes ages 50 and over. More than 56,000 athletes have registered to compete in the Games in the past 30 years. Florida's Sports Coast will host 19 sports over nine days of competition from December 3 through December 11.
