Thursday, Jan 12, 2023 | On Target Page: Greater Pasco County, Politics & Government

Pasco County Engineering Services hosted two open house-style public meetings to go over a planned 37-mile multi-use trail from Trinity to Trilby on Tuesday, December 6 from 5:00pm to 7:30pm at Hampton Inn, 11780 S.R. 54, Odessa & Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 5:00pm to 7:30pm at the Dade City Garden Club, 13630 5th St., Dade City.

The proposed Orange Belt Trail will enhance the existing and planned regional trail network by connecting to the Coast-to-Coast Trail, Starkey Trail, Suncoast Trail and Withlacoochee Trail.

The paved trail will closely follow the abandoned Orange Belt Railway. The trail is planned to be mostly off the roadway and follow natural features when possible. It’s intended for pedestrian and bicycle traffic and could include equestrian accommodations in certain areas.

County staff were available to answer your questions. There was a short, formal presentation each evening at 6:00.
