The annual Avalon Park Fourth of July Celebration festivities kicked off on at 5 p.m. located at 5060 River Glen Blvd, in the heart of Avalon Park Wesley Chapel, the up-and-coming Downtown for Wesley Chapel! There were fireworks, food trucks, vendors, a complimentary bounce park, and much more! The Fourth of July Celebration event was free and open to the public.
“Ours is the biggest in Wesley Chapel,” said Marielle Fernandez, Avalon Park’s marketing and events coordinator. “We get thousands of people every year, and it just gets bigger and bigger.”
Fernandez says last year’s crowd was more than 2,000, and they had to stop letting people in due to limited parking. While it is held at the community’s amenity center, everyone is welcome, and the majority of the crowd is nonresidents. Next year, the hope is to hold the event at the new downtown area currently under construction.
