NTBC, Orlando Health Hospital in Wesley Chapel & Turner Construction - Meet The Project Team with JD Porter at PHSC

The boom in the Wesley Chapel/Wiregrass Ranch corridor shows no signs of slowing down with a third hospital for that thriving central Pasco community in the works. It will be part of an ambitious long-range plan recently put forth by developer J.D. Porter.

Porter, from a family of landowners and developers in the Wiregrass Ranch area, envisions more than just a hospital. Phase 1 of a proposed $1.5 billion downtown plan would include ample housing options with a parking garage, retail and office space, hotel and conference center to go along with food and entertainment venues.

Construction will soon be under way on Orlando Hospital Wiregrass Ranch. Porter also was involved with AdventHealth Wesley Chapel near the Suncoast Parkway.

The new planned hospital, to be located at State Road 56 and Wiregrass Ranch Boulevard, will be a 395,000-square-foot facility and start out with 100 beds that could be increased to 300.

In addition to the Orlando Hospital facility, which could be staffed by about 400 employees, there will be a fourth hospital in the area. John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital is planning to expand near I-75 and Overpass Road.

The other existing major health care facility in the area is BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel off Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.
