Oliver! The musical presented by Academy at the Lakes

Academy at the Lakes’ 12th annual production, Oliver! The Musical was a major hit at the Center for the Performing Arts at Wesley Chapel High School. A production company with over 200 students from kindergarten to seniors wowed the pack house with their singing and acting abilities.

Faculty, students and parents joined forces to create the stage, and the hand made costumes. The orchestral music was directed by Mark Heller and Katherine Vargas. The production was overseen by director Chris Holcom (Academy faculty, Jobsite Theater actor-director) and producers Morse and Gary Compton.

Academy at the Lakes senior Ali Buckman played young Oliver, an orphan and his misadventures in 18th Century England in Oliver! The musical.

Nancy, played by Shannon O'Donnell, shows Oliver some motherly affection and tries to protect him in Oliver! The musical, based on Charles Dickens novel "Oliver Twist,"

When Oliver ask his keepers at the orphanage for more gruel, the Widow Corney played by Alexis Setteducato, takes him out into the street and sells him to the local undertaker in Oliver! The musical.

Fagin, played by Jason Pitcairn, was always trying to convince Oliver to join his gang in Oliver! The musical, based on Charles Dickens novel "Oliver Twist,"
