Florida Medical Clinic Foundation of Caring, Rasmussen College, 54 U Store Self Storage and Boys and Girls Club have partnered to host children from the Lacoochee Boys & Girls Club at Rasmussen College, 18600 Fernview Street Land O’Lakes, FL. A campus tour by the boys and girls and Alfred VanBroekhen, Owner Operator of 54 U Store Self Storage enjoyed a lively discussion with professors and administrators. Later, everyone was treated to lunch and received backpacks filled with school supplies.

The children at the Boys and Girls Club live in abject poverty and high school graduations rates are shockingly low. The Foundation of Caring, Rasmussen College, 54 U Store Self Storage and the Boys and Girls Club want to help change these outcomes. Joining together, they will help encourage students to think of the future and the possibilities that are available to them through education.

Often, the difference between successful students and those that struggle is setting educational goals and having the right materials, encouragement and mentoring to achieve those goals. This new collaboration will offer information, encouragement and educational opportunities for students in need.

The unique partnership among the Foundation of Caring, Rasmussen College, 54 U Store Self Storage and the Boys and Girls Club will promote educational opportunities and bring awareness to students who due to their current living conditions face unbelievable challenges.
