Oasis Pregnancy Care Center 4th Annual Legacy of Hope Banquet

Oasis Pregnancy Center held a very successful event Saturday night raising a lot of funds for their cause, “to glorify God by being a witness for life, promoting purity, protecting the unborn and offering support to families in our town and community.” Oasis Pregnancy Center’s 4th Annual Legacy of Hope Banquet attracted over 450 friends who enjoyed a dinner catered by Hungry Harry’s and Executive Director Peter Castellani gave thanks to the hundreds of sponsors, donors, board, staff and volunteers that have made this mission a success over the last four years.

There were many moving moments in the evening’s presentations.

Germaine Pitchon, 87, was a teenager when her mom and her five sisters were taken from their home in Greece by the Nazis and sent to Auschwitz. Her mother and two sets of younger twin sisters died in the gas chamber. Pitchon at 15 was ordered to undergo forced sterilization. Only because a Mengele the “Angel of Death”, overseeing the sterilization program, was called away on an emergency was she later able to have children. "An old Jewish doctor, who performed the sterilization surgery under the threat of death, had removed one of her ovaries and made the incision but did not remove the other ovary," said Pitchon's son Sol." The doctor said to her, 'You will have many children, name one after me.'" She did and her son, Sol Pitchon was the evenings guest speaker.

Sol Pitchon, a Greek Jew was born in Thessalonica, Greece, immigrated to America in 1951 and converted to Christianity in 1981. He is the President and CEO of New Life Solutions in Pinellas County and whose mission is to assist women and men who are experiencing an unplanned and unprepared for pregnancy. Those in attendance were blessed to hear the testimonies of his mother Garmaine who spoke about surviving the Holocaust of World War II and how Sol is now serving the Lord in the Holocaust of Abortion here in America today!
