James Mathieu has been elected Chairman of the Republican Party of Pasco County. Former Chairman Randy Maggard has been elected Vice Chairman. James previously held the position as Vice Chairman. This special election was held on June 20, 2013 at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Republican Executive Committee at the Word of Life Campus in Hudson.

James Mathieu is an attorney who specializes in Mediation. Prior to moving to Florida eight years ago he was a Republican Ward Leader for a decade in Philadelphia covering 28 polling districts as well as a committeeman. Last year he ran an unsuccessful bid for State Representative.

James is President of Athenian Academy, a charter school, in the Pasco School District. He intends to keep the Republican Party of Pasco on the same tract in promoting Republican candidates in General Elections and promoting Republican Principles.
