Monday, Jul 01, 2013 | On Target Page: Dade City, Dade City Community Events

The PrimeTimers, a volunteer choral group from the First Baptist Church of Dade City entertains the residents at The Commons at Pretty Pond in Zephyrhills. The group with Ron Threadgill as the Minister of Music and Worship, visits the Commons periodically.

At First Baptist Church, the purpose of our Music and Worship Ministry is to glorify God, to minister to the hearts of God's people, and to reach the world with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The Music and Worship Ministry at First Baptist Church Dade City offers opportunities for all ages to grow, learn and minister through music. Regardless of your age or ability, you will find a number of different opportunities to serve the Lord in the Music and Worship Ministry of this church family. The Prime Timers' Choir is our senior adult choir. They sing periodically in our worship services, and they also go monthly to an area nursing home to sing to residents there. The Prime Timers' Choir meets to rehearse on Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m.
