Oasis Pregnancy Care Centers held their 5th Annual Legacy of Life Celebration
PDF VersionOasis Pregnancy Care Centers held their 5th Annual Legacy of Life Celebration on Friday evening October 4th at Exciting Idlewild Baptist Church. The event is the largest event held in Central Pasco with about 500 people in attendance. This event is to raise awareness and funds for this community based ministry.
The Founder and Executive Director, Peter Castellani shared the accomplishments over the center and where the believe the center is going in the future. Castellani said that have served over 550 families since they have opened and now have over 100 Client Visits per month. Another major accomplishment this year was that they opened a satellite center in Wesley Chapel on May 1st which is why they changed their name to Oasis Pregnancy Care Centers.
Over the next year they want to expand both centers for the anticipated growth as well as expanding their Ministry to Men in addition to all the services they provide for women. They also want to see the Impact (Abstinence) program take hold in Pasco County and are working with the other Pregnancy Centers in Pasco County to make this happen.
The featured speaker this year was Attorney David Gibbs III who is the President of National Center for Life and Liberty. Gibbs is best known for defending Terri Schiavo's parents in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. Gibbs did an excellent presentation defending life and said "if you don't defend life first, you have no liberty".
