Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting was held for Candidate Minnie Diaz who is running for Florida State House Representative District 38. The Ribbon Cutting was held at the Harbor Terrace Restaurant at Heritage Harbor, located at 19502 Heritage Harbor Parkway in Lutz immediately following the Chambers membership meeting.

Three Republican candidates are seeking the party’s nomination for the District 36 House seat vacated this summer by current Pasco County Tax Collector Mike Fasano. The district comprises coastal Pasco County, west of Little Road. Only registered Republican are eligible to vote in the primary Sept. 17. Early voting will be permitted Sept. 7 through 14 at the West Pasco Government Center. The winner will face Democrat Amanda Murphy in a special election Oct. 15.

Local Kids Model at Belk Kidfest Fashion Shows
Parents and legal guardians brought their children ages 4 – 12 to participate as models in the KidFest fashion show in their Land O’Lakes Belk store. Belk hosted its bi-annual Kidfest in-store event at all locations. The event included runway fashion shows featuring local children as models wearing Belk’s latest fashion trends and styles for kids. Other activities and entertainment included refreshments, music, games, face painting, balloons and prizes. Back to School items were offered by Ierna’s Heating and Cooling, (and some tasty popcorn!) the Pasco County Sheriff’s Department, Precision Kia of Wesley Chapel, a group of Clowns from the Shriners and many more.
