Land O’ Lakes High School welcomed Shelton Quarles, Former Bucs Player and Super Bowl Champion and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers Director of Football Operations, to be the keynote speaker for the 2nd Annual Land O' Lakes Gator Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Dinner. Last year’s Induction dinner garnered over $40,000 through sponsorships, ticket sales and auction proceeds. Five honorees were inducted this year: legendary Coach John Benedetto (posthumously), House Speaker Will Weatherford (1998), RJ McKenna (1982), Tina McWithey White (1979) and Dennis Blankenship (1980).

Land O’ Lakes High cross country coach Kris Keppel is up for a national award recognizing his coaching.Keppel is one of 25 finalists for the Brooks 2014 Inspiring Coach of the Year Award. As of Thursday, he was in first place to win with more than 12,600 votes. For the Fifteenth year The Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber recognized 140 outstanding students and athletes for their school pride, community involvement, and athletic excellence from each Wesley Chapel school. “The entire Wesley Chapel Community is proud of all our students and all of those recognized today. ” said Jeff Novotny, Chamber Board President in his closing remarks. Bellamy Brothers Concert for Pasco High School at the Reunion of the Decades

Pasco High School alumni’s Howard Bellamy (Class of 64) and David Bellamy (Class of 68) returned to their old stomping grounds to help raise over $75,000 for the school athletic department. Country music legends, the Bellamy Brothers, having performed all over the world didn’t have to travel far from their Darby homes to make it to W.F. Edwards Stadium and a couple thousand of their closest friends.
