Bellamy Brothers Concert for Pasco High School at the Reunion of the Decades

Pasco High School alumni’s Howard Bellamy (Class of 64) and David Bellamy (Class of 68) returned to their old stomping grounds to help raise over $75,000 for the school athletic department. The Seahawks (29-0) are three wins from a state title and face Gainesville Eastside in Tuesday’s region final. Sunlake started off slowly against a Pasco team it had beaten in districts but the Seahawks took command off a corner kick. Chris Wilkerson’s ball found the head of Derek Noble, who put it on goal. Aucoin caught the ball flush and rammed it into the top of the net.

As stunned as his loved ones, friends and colleagues were about the suddenness of his death, it was the graceful, dignified and exemplary life of Lee Roy Selmon that they remembered most on Sunday. The first player drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their only member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame died at St. Joseph's Hospital on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 4, 2011) surrounded by family and friends, only two days after suffering a stroke at his Tampa home. Mr. Selmon was 56.
