Justin West doesn't let anything hold him back, especially the fact that he lost both legs in a 2010 IED attack in Afghanistan. "I'm just a stubborn person. I wanna take care of myself, I wanna be independent, I wanna get out there and do my own thing," said West.
He's got a job and girlfriend and is always up for an adventure.

On October 17, 2013 United States Air Force MSG Matthew Feldhouse was enjoying a quiet walk among the Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel, Florida . Matthew had served his country for over twenty years and several deployments to foreign countries. On his last deployment as he left to serve in Kurkistan, he left behind his 1998 Honda Prelude which had broken down and was in need of serious repair. Little did he know that Tim Harvey and members of the ‘Warriorsâ€, a male group of church members from the Grow Life Church had a plan to make his return a joyful one.

Womens Club joins over 100 volunteers for Homes for Our Troops Hero in Lutz
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members recently helped serve food and drink to the 100's of volunteers who worked at the newly completed “Homes for Our Troops†residence of Veteran Marine Cpl. Justin Gaertner in Lutz laying huge truckloads of new sod and other landscaping work. It was very heartwarming to see the many and varied community groups which came out in force to support our veteran. “Homes for Our Troops†provides specially adapted new homes for severely injured veterans.
The Lutz Patriots honor the memory of their co-founder Karen Elrod Williams
It was a great turnout this bright and shinning morning in Lutz as friends and family of Karen Elrod Williams, co-founder of the Lutz Patriots. Their group installed a memorial stone in front of the Old Lutz School in thanksgiving of her dedication to our soldiers around the world. The weather was perfect, and it was wonderful to see so many flags waving and hear cars beeping up and down Hwy 41 to say "thanks".
