“Such an amazing day for Pasco County and our community, the universally inclusive playground is now a reality and open!” said Pasco County Commissioner Mike Moore. “Thanks to Keith Wiley and the Pasco Parks team along with our amazing partners Wesley Chapel Rotary, Lennar Homes Foundation and Advent Health Wesley Chapel and my fellow Commissioners Ron Oakley, Jack Mariano, Mike Wells & Kathryn Starkey” he said. “It’s heartwarming to see children already using this playground, for some, it was their first time being able to participate and be involved and their faces lit up with joy!” said Moore.

“It is a very exciting day! Ribbon cutting for universal inclusive playground at Wesley Chapel District Park. Mike Moore told me his idea about this my first day working for him earlier this year. Our groundbreaking was September 20th then open today” said Chris Casella of the Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel.” “Exactly two months and nine days ago we broke ground on Pasco County’s first ever Playground for Children with Special Needs and today at we will be officially opening it.” Said Casella. “The Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel is honored to be partnering with the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners, Lennar Homes and AdventHealth to bring this playground to Wesley Chapel, some local children were able to try out the new playground and they absolutely loved it!” he said.

“The Ribbon cutting for Pasco County's First Inclusive playground brought tears to my eyes, well done and thank you to all that made this possible” said Patty Crist. Photos provided by David C Alvarez.
