Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco - Womens Build Project
The Women Build gathered together on Saturday, May 14, 2016. Today they completed the construction of the three houses, and the landscaping. Women Build challenges women to devote at least one day to the effort to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness. Women can make a difference in their communities by building homes and raising awareness of local housing needs. We don't exclude men, this event is to include and empower women. Men are welcome to participate.
All volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer at the build site. All volunteers must complete a volunteer waiver (also available at the build site). Volunteers under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian sign their completed waiver.
Women Build has a variety of ways for you to get involved, from building to sponsorships. For sponsorships or fundraising opportunities, e-mail donate@habitatpasco.org or call 352-567-1444.
Please wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothes for the weather. Water, tools, and lunch is provided.
If you would like to find a Women Build closer to you, please go to www.habitat.org/wb and search for a Women Build in your area.
Is it a problem if I don’t have any construction experience?
Don’t worry! Many women come to Women Build sites with no construction skills at all and still make a great impact. Training will be provided. Just wear appropriate comfortable clothes and closed toed shoes.
