Light Up The Night with Pasco Sheriff's Office & Bridging Freedom, at The Shops at Wiregrass
Last Saturday, The Pasco Sheriff's Office partnered with Bridging Freedom for a special annual event called Light Up the Night, on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm, located at The Shops at Wiregrass, 28211 Paseo Dr Ste 100, Wesley Chapel, FL 33543.
This event was dedicated to raise awareness of human trafficking and present some personal stories from those who were fortunate enough to escape the life of a trafficking victim. The event went to benefit Bridging Freedom, The Porch Light, Redefining Refuge, and U.S Institute for Human Trafficking. All four organizations each received a check in the amount of $8,000.
Light Up the Night included a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile walk which began at 4pm at the Pasco-Hernando State College Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch. People registered for the run on Active.com or in person at the event. All money raised was donated to help victims of human trafficking.
The evening concert featured Shalyah Fearing and Thanecha Anderson, was held at The Shops at Wiregrass on the upper level of the parking deck beginning at 5:15pm. There was food, a kid's area, and the evening culminated with guest speakers and a candlelight vigil.
