About Pasco County Commissioner, District 2 Chairman Mike Moore:
Mike Moore is a small business owner who resides in Wesley Chapel. His career has been spent in the healthcare industry, beginning as a Marketing Director and eventually serving as CEO.
In 2004, Mike founded CareFirst Home Care and together, with his wife Lauren built a successful company providing home health care services to seniors, those with disabilities and patients recovering from surgery. An industry leader, Mike led the business through a successful acquisition in 2011 and remained with the new company in a consulting and acquisitions capacity. Ever the entrepreneur, Mike founded a business sale, mergers and acquisitions firm in 2012.
In February 2013, Speaker Will Weatherford appointed Mike to the Department of Elder Affairs Advisory Council. Mike also serves on Congressman Bilirakis’ Central Pasco Advisory Committee, the Seven Oaks Elementary School Advisory Council and the Wesley Chapel Athletic Association Baseball Committee.
A longtime resident of the Tampa Bay area, Mike was born in St. Petersburg, raised in Winter Haven, earned an Associate of Arts in Mass Communications from Polk Community College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio and Television from the University of Central Florida.
A native Floridian, Mike is an avid fisherman and enjoys playing golf, spending quality time with family and friends and volunteering in the community. He is an active member of the Wesley Chapel Rotary, Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce, Dade City Chamber of Commerce, Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce, and Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce, serves as President of the Wesley Chapel Republican Club and is a volunteer baseball, football and soccer coach at WCAA.
