Special Olympics Athletes participate in Pasco County Summer Games Events at River Ridge HS and Wesley Chapel HS with Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco and Pasco County school superintendent Kurt Browning
Pasco County Special Olympics athletes competed for two amazing days at the Pasco County Summer Games Events. Parents, Teachers, Family and friends were inspired watching these amazing athletes compete! The spectacular event was held over two days in two locations, River Ridge High School and Wesley Chapel High School.
Well over 1,300 athletes competed the two days in athletics, bocce, cheerleading, cycling and soccer, following Opening Ceremonies with Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco and Pasco County school superintendent Kurt Browning! All the parents were so very proud of all our athletes! The results were great competition, smiles, awards and fun! Thanks to all the amazing coaches, volunteers and teachers, the athletes were all ready and the Games were very, very successful!
Special Olympics Florida provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, at no cost to the athlete or their caregiver as a means to achieve physical fitness, self-esteem and the life skills necessary to be productive, respected and contributing members of their communities.
